Baby Sleep Mom

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers. Where a decision is still being made, we say so.

Using Baby Sleep Mom

What age is this for?

Baby Sleep Mom is written for parents and caregivers of babies from birth to 12 months, mainly in the US, UK and other English-speaking places.

Age is only a starting point. Babies differ, so the guides and the Roadmap also ask what is happening, not just how old your baby is.

Will my baby cry?

Babies cry for many reasons, and crying is a normal way to communicate. We do not promise any approach will avoid it.

Our guides focus on responding to your baby and trying small, reversible steps. If crying worries you, or sounds different from usual, contact your GP, pediatrician, health visitor or nurse line.

Do you tell me to stop night feeds?

No. We do not ask you to cut, delay or reduce any feed. Young babies need to feed often, and when to change night feeds is a question for your pediatrician or health visitor.

Starting solids is not a sign that night feeds should end.

Are the guides free?

The six guides on this site are free to read, and Start Here needs no signup. The Roadmap is a separate digital product, and it is not yet available to purchase.

What does Start Here keep about me or my baby?

Nothing is sent anywhere. Your choices stay in your browser and in the page address so you can share or go back. Start Here never asks for a name, a date of birth or health details.

Emma's Gentle Sleep Roadmap

How is the Roadmap delivered?

The Roadmap is a digital product made up of two PDF files: a colour version with 56 fillable text fields, and a white-background version for printing.

Purchasing is not open yet, and delivery details are being finalized. They will be confirmed on the Roadmap page before anything is sold.

How do I use the Roadmap?

Start with the safe sleep and age routing section, then go to the part that matches your situation. You do not need to read it from front to back.

Fill in the colour version on a device that supports PDF form fields, or print the white version and write by hand. Keep the two quick cards where you will use them.

What's in the Roadmap?

Version 4 is 51 pages in English for babies from birth to 12 months. It covers safe sleep, young babies, reading sleepiness, bedtime routines, waking on being put down, short naps, night waking, gradual change, reviewing a plan, quick cards, logs and a handoff page, and how to prepare for professional help.

Does the Roadmap replace medical or professional help?

No. It is education. It cannot diagnose or treat anything, and it does not replace your GP, pediatrician, health visitor, midwife or nurse line, or individual support for your family.

Orders, delivery and policies

How much is the Roadmap?

The price has not been confirmed yet. It will be shown on the Roadmap page when purchasing opens.

What is the refund policy?

The refund policy is being finalized and is not confirmed yet. We will publish it on the refunds page before the Roadmap is sold.

How do I contact you?

The contact page has a message form, but it is not accepting messages yet. We will update the page when a support route is ready.

Safety and limits

Who is Emma?

Emma is Baby Sleep Mom's AI-created presenter. She is not a real person, and she is not a mother, nurse, doctor or licensed professional. Images of her are AI-generated teaching scenes, not photos of real families.

Are the guides medically reviewed?

No. The guides are AI-assisted drafts written by the Baby Sleep Mom editorial team. They link to official public sources such as the NHS and HealthyChildren.org so you can read the originals.

What if I am worried about my baby right now?

Do not use this site for urgent help. If your baby is struggling to breathe, has blue or grey skin or lips, is floppy, will not wake, or you feel something is seriously wrong, call emergency services (999 in the UK, 911 in the US, 000 in Australia).

For other worries, contact your GP, pediatrician, health visitor or nurse line.
